[...] TBR Challenge 2008 [...]
I have read G&S and last year I read the Time Traveler’s WIfe. I liked it. I definitely want to add #s 11 and 12 to my TBR list…
Care, what did you think of G & S? I’m reading it now.
I very much enjoyed G&S. And I was intrigued by your comment that there was not a lot to discuss… I myself found more discussionable stuff than I thought I would! Maybe I should update my blog’s review to include ‘discussion questions’! Hmmm…
Oh, and I saw elsewhere that you might add Eat,Pray,Love on your tbr…. DO YOU EVER THINK the hype ruins a book for you? I picked up Eat,Pray,Love not knowing nothin about it and then it’s P.R. got to cranking. and I’m wondering if I would have loved TheOtherBoleynGirl more if I hadn’t been so excited after reading your review…. oh well. Does that make sense?
Hi Care, Yes I think the hype does ruin it sometimes. I try not to pay too much attention to what “everyone” thinks about something before reading it!
If you liked the Kite Runner, you’ll love 1000 Splendid Suns. I thought that one was even better.
